Attendance and Absence from School



Regular attendance ensures that students stay connected with learning and school activities. Unnecessary absences disrupt progress and hinder the development of discipline and responsibility.



  • It is compulsory for all the students to attend the general assembly in the morning. The school gates will be closed five minutes after the school starts and students who come late will not be allowed to attend the school.
  • No child can leave the school premises during school hours except with the permission of the principal, which may be granted only on receipt of an application duly signed by the parents and/or guardian in the record of the school (Parents to make a note of it).
  • A minimum of 75% attendance is compulsory for all students to appear in the final examination to be held at the end of the academic year. PTMs
  • No leave or absence granted except on receiving an application from the parents and/or duly authorised guardian and/or responsible person as per school record for plausible reason only.
  • Repeated absence without sanctioned leave or unexplained absence for more than seven consecutive days, will make the student liable to have his/ her name struck off rolls. Re-admission may be granted at the discretion of the principal on payment of prescribed re-admission fee and or fine, if any.
  • Each student is compulsory required to attend the school on the opening day after each vacation, failing which his/her name is liable to be struck off the rolls and in that case he/she may be allowed to re-admission on the request from the parents explaining the reasons for such default. He/she will be liable to pay fine Rs. 100/- per day plus re-admission fee
  • A student returning to school after suffering from an infectious or contagious disease or any sickness must produce a doctor's fitness certificate, permitting him/her to attend the school.

  • Those attending other school working days without advance leave application will be fined Rs. 25/- per day.
